Beginning Lace Knitting -New Details!
Sundays, Feb. 19 - Mar. 11 (Mar. 18 - Snow Date), 4 sessions with Graduation Soiree, Instructor: Sarah Hood, Seminar Fee: $60, includes Kit Fee. Hurry, space is limited!
Sarah Hood is an avid knitter, designer, and student of lace. For this class we'll follow Sharon Winsauer's Alpaca with a Twist Beginning Lace Class book and incorporate tricks of the trade learned from experience. As you build your own experience from the 6 lessons, Sarah will show her large collection of lace examples to demonstrate design options you might choose for your next project.
Beginning Fair Isle Knitting - Saturdays, Apr. 15 - Apr. 22, 2 sessions, Instructor: Shirley Spencer, Seminar Fee: $40, plus Kit Fee: Call the store.
Shirley Spencer has been knitting for over 12 years. Before she was an avid quilter but
once she took up the knitting needles, there was no turning back. Currently, Shirley is the President of the "Candlewood Valley Knitting Guild" and has been for the past 3 years. At BSY, she can regularly be found at the Sunday afternoon knitting circle. Shirley enjoys writing her own fair isle patterns (see picture, right). In two easy lessons, you will come away with a knitted handbag that she calls "The Black Sheep Bag" that you can use as-is or felted - your choice.
Felting Monet - Saturdays, May 12 - May 19, 2 sessions. Instructor: Amri Plisko, Seminar Fee: $80, Kit Fee: Call the Store.
Amri is an accomplished felter who will show you how to create your own felted masterpiece in the style of the French impressionist, Monet.

HOURS:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10:00am-5:30pm. Thursday, 10:00am-8:30pm and Sunday, 11:30am-5:00pm. There is open stitching on Wednesday and Sunday from 12:00-5:00pm and Thursdays evenings 5:30-8:30pm. I am still closed on Tuesday.
